$2 Margarita

I intended to make my first drink post on a fun and unique kind of beverage, but I thought if I wanted this to be more of a personal blog that showcases me, a $2 margarita is just that. Last week, after being in the library for majority of the day (yikes), I met a couple of my friends for some well-deserved drinks on the square at Louie’s Beer Garden . I ordered a frozen margarita that was really refreshing and sweet. I usually prefer a half and half margarita because it loosens up the consistency to where it’s a little easier to sip but first time for everything!

This drink was the perfect go to after a long day of studying and pairs well with a Banana Ice puff bar. A margarita fits almost every kind of occasion and/or mood. It is a very well-liked drink among many people, and you can find a margarita at almost any restaurant or bar. The drink consists of tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice. Another good thing about margaritas is the multitude of flavors you can add like strawberry, mango, raspberry, watermelon, banana, prickly pear, peach, and more.

This particular drink had a salty flavor that I thoroughly enjoyed. I usually ask for salt on the rim and an extra lime to go with the drink but unfortunately that was not pictured above. I think the best snack to go with this margarita is chips and salsa because their flavor combinations are in sync. The drink was not too big or too small- I felt I got my money’s worth and wasn’t being shorted for the cheap price. Overall, these margaritas were a fun go to, non-expensive, and they can give you the perfect little buzz to lead to a good night.
